Gold Coast Helicopters: Part 1

Following the success of my recent article, Helicopter Banner Towing , I have decided to make an article with a similar theme. The Photos In the article were taken in the last few months at various locations throughout the Goldie. Special thanks to Scott for making the photos at Southport Airfield possible.

Helicopter Operators on the Gold Coast

Sea World Helicopters is the Helicopter Joyflight Division of Gold Coast Theme Park Sea World. The company utilises two helipads located just outside the theme park itself  They Operate two Eurocopter AS350 Ecureuil Helicopters: Their Registrations are VH-SWL and VH-SWX. Their website is here: https://seaworld.com.au/tours/helicopters and https://seaworldhelicopters.com.au/

VH-SWL is on final approach whilst Seaplane VH-LHQ flies around in the top left corner
VH-SWX approaches the helipad

Helicopter banner towing

Hi all,

As some of my readers may know, I am currently on holidays on the NSW Central Coast. Today is boxing day and I am staying at my Aunty's house. A few minutes ago, I witnessed something rather interesting. A3.350BA VH-TSV conducted a banner towing flight over her house. This is the first time I have been able to photograph a banner towing flight.
VH-TSV
It was carrying a sign that appeared to say: 'Over beer? Canadian club'
See you all next time

'Extreme' Planespotting

This morning I popped down to Southport Airfield to watch the planes come and go for the world skydiving championships. Let me just say it was very noisy!! I started off at the Southport Aero Club but later ventured down to the end of the runway for a bit of an adventure.
                                         Nice R44 Hovering
                                          Waiting for more skydivers
                                          Unknown helicopter (presumably AS350?)
                                          Rotate!
2 new planes in 1 picture! Nice!
                                          Just landed
                                          Up and away
Again, 2 new planes in 1 pic
                                          Woah!
                                          About to touch down
                                          Skydivers
                                         Lovely livery
