ANZAC Day 2019

Today is ANZAC Day in Australia.

Anzac Day, 25 April, is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

I missed the Currumbin dawn service however I popped down to the airport to see one of the aircraft used in the flypast- a CAC Winjeel.
We went to Currumbin to watch the F-18F Super Hornet, Registered A44-219 The flypast came from the opposite direction that we were expecting. Although we were taken by surprise, I still managed to capture a few shots.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

LEST WE FORGET
